hello i have 4 10 inch speakers from my old stereo which the main unit has fried is there any way possible to hook it up to my computer??? if you know what i need please let me know

There are cables that go from 1/8" stereo to stereo rca plugs that you can get at radio shack. Use one of those to hook your computer up to a receiver through the tape in or aux in or something. That's how I have mine set up and it sounds much better than those crappy little multimedia speakers.

From the original post, it sounds to me like your receiver fried, and that is the root of the problem. There's no good way to drive those speakers solely from the computer - in other words, what you need to do is go buy a new receiver, and then you can hook it up to whatever you want.
