I have been 140+ in queue for 4 weeks. By the time I get the damn card its going to be 1 year out of date! You would think that if they offered this as a "Selling Point" they have a more efficient way of getting the cards to the end user.

Just my 2 cents.........

I'm sure there is multiple threads about this BUT I JUST WANTED TO BITCH SOME MORE!
 
if your stepping up to one of the rare and hard to come by cards then you will have a long wait . so don't get your pant's in a knot cause if you want it immediately then buy it out right.
 
i have two cards in que, one has been on 125 for over a month, the other around 168 for 3 weeks.
 
I think you have the right to complain. A few hundred care queue shouldn't take more than a week or two for a company to clear out.
 
I'd have to disagree with ya. I got my Step Up card the 28th of March and love it.
 
i agree with you, that is bs, i think they should serve the step up orders before any others. especially if they want repeat customers. thankfully my 7900gt co came about a week and a half ago, and when i started out i was 197 in queue and was in queue for about a week and a half.
 
You guys need to realize that the cards aren't made that fast... each card takes at least 10 hours to make. (i'm blowing smoke)
 
That's correct I was hoping for a 7900GT OC of course Ive herd there is some "STABILITY ISSUES" with the OC cards so who knows if it will be worth it.
 
My eVGA 7900GT CO is fine. I got it a couple weeks ago after everyone was whining about them being bad. "Detect Optimal Frequencies" rates it well over the 500/1500 they clocked it at.

damn straight.. that's poor customer support imo, to leave peeps hanging for a month and longer.. wow.
 
It only took me about a month to get thru the queue. Didn't really bother me much cuz it's not like my 7800gt sux. If I gotta wait a while to get a nearly free/very cheap upgrade while I still have a working card in my possession, I can live with it.



 
Well, we cannot assume 100% of all cards will be used for a zero margin business helping past gen EVGA card owners. They still need to make money. So, assume 10% of their shipments will be used for the Step Up program. More than fair, but, for hard to come by cards, the queue will take some time. So, let's say you are at spot 400, you are really at spot 4000 for the company shipments. That will take some time to fulfill.

The Step Up program us unique. Where else do you get to use a card for three months, decide to upgrade, and only have to pay the difference between what the new card costs and the price you previously paid? Nowhere. You could try eBay, sell your 7800 GT for $250, net $225, order a new retail 7900 GT CO and pony up the extra $125. Or, wait your turn and pay the $50 step up fee. You do have a choice.

Or you could take that 225 and spend $50 more to have your oc card shipped now or alot shorter time than the step up . Or use evga step up program. First have to pay the difference of the card, then $15-$20 to ship the card to evga and $15-$20 to have the card shipped back. Plus it will take alot longer for the step up.

The step up program is unique, but when you really think about it, its not all that great

yeah that was my dilemma, i ended up paying like 8$ to ship it there, 15 to get it back...
 
I'm trading in one 7800GTX for a 7900GTX, and selling the other. I was in the 140's for forever (including yesterday), saw this thread today, checked my email a few minutes ago, and there was an email saying the 7900 is ready! Cool!

Damn there's the NVSilencer on the same invoice - I hope they don't mind AS5 when I reattach the original HSF.
