Well I got the gtx570 evga and am wondering if I should step up to gtx 580? I do not want to go sli right now, cause the power supply just wont cut it and I do not want to buy a new one at this time. I have 65 days left, pull trigger or wait and see if something comes out better closer to that time. I haven't heard of anything coming out soon, so it would be nice to enjoy the better card. Just do not want to miss on something if possible.

Only thing coming out better is the GTX 590 and that is too much card for your power supply I'm afraid. The only way you'll luck out is if EVGA follows PALIT and releases a 3gb GTX 580 then you'll be able to step up to that. Otherwise the 570 is so close to the GTX 580 in performance at single resolution gaming all you really need to do is overclock it and possibly drop one level of antialiasing to match it. I'd just keep what you got.

I think the GTX570's a much better value card than the 580, keep it, and see what 28nm has to offer next year. The GTX590 is probably too much card for that PSU on an i7.
