So I've been reading a little bit on Steering wheels for the 360, and as of now the best wheel you can get is the MS wheel for 120$. I've read an even number for reviews saying you have to make a 40 degree turn before the wheel responds, and causes over/understeering, makeing it unrelistic, and not nearly as fun. I've seen alot of people mention the G25 by logitec and how it may possibly become compatible. As of now, Does anyone know of any good and worth while wheels to use for games like PGR and Forza? Anyone have any suggestions based on wheels you've previously owned, or tryed? ThaNks for the help!

I heard that the Logitech Momo plugs right in. A few of the buttons on the wheel don't work but the wheel, pedals, and shifters do. I can't confirm this as I've been to busy to try it. It's worth a shot if you already have one.

This "40 degree turn" stuff is news to me. It takes practice, sure, but I think a lot of people pick it up and expect to be amazing, suck ass at it, and blame it on the wheel. Its differerent and takes a bit of practice.

Eh... i'd say that people who are claiming that there is a 40 degree gap are really stretching to find something wrong with the wheel or didnt take the time to configure the game to use it. ALL of the racing games i've used mine on have settings ingame for sensitivity of the wheel and you can even create a wheel deadzone in Forza2.

Just for the record, i've played through both PGR2 and Forza using only the Microsoft Wheel. Any wheel you get will take some getting used to, but I highly recommend the Microsoft version. I wouldnt play a racing game without it.

Cool, now once i finally get my box back from repair center, i'll have to test out the MS wheel, Hopeing for the best....

I'd definitely go to a store and try out the MS wheel first. I played with my cousin's all weekend with Forza 2 and gave up on the wheel. To me it does feel like the wheel is slow in response and I can see why people are saying the 40 degree thing. I even played with the dead zone settings, but couldn't get the wheel to my liking. O well though saves me $100. I think the wheel is designed pretty wheel though as you can play with it on your lap or mount it to your desk.

Yeah. The wheel is definitely solid. I play with it on my lap while sitting on the couch. Not too bad really.

Took me a while in the games to get all of my settings exactly right, but once I hit that sweet spot, there was no way I was going to go back to my controller. The only drawback on the wheel is that the right analog stick is not emulated in the controller. Because of that, in order to get pics of my cars I had to load up the game with the controller, and take pics that way. Same thing goes for painting.

But aside from that, I like the wheel. You should try it out if you get the chance, like was said above. Some people like me absolutely love it, and others give it the "meh" review. Understandable either way.

I am still trying to get used to my wheel. The in-game settings are critical. For instance, in DiRT, the default saturation setting is way too high, causing me to oversteer in a big way. As for using it on my lap, I could not get comfortable with that, the wheel sat too low. Having it mounted to a solid table does wonders. On other thing, the foot pedal stand does not work so well on smooth tile floors. :D
