I have a client who is looking for a way to stream video to 8 iPads. I've been looking at steaming apps and they all seem to be for one user. Does anyone know of any program that might work?
 
They all need to stream the same video, or you need to support streaming on demand to 8 iPads?

For streaming on demand, AirVideo. I just tried streaming to my iPad and iPhone at the same time, works fine. CPU load will become an issue as you add more clients for live conversion. As for the same video for a broadcast, dunno.
 
If it's for local use I second the QuickTime idea. Setup a web and stream that way.

i think airvideo will do this better than orb

plus airvideo can do on the fly converting...
