So I came across this:

http://www.g-alantic.com.tw/1129/ga6701/

It's slightly thinner than valve's but it should be able to fit everything in the same layout... except the hard drives. Maybe velcro tape an ssd to the top panel where valve put space for two drives? Or possibly slide one under the gpu?

You'd have drill holes for the psu intake, make your own mounting bracket to screw the gpu in at the back of the case, and install your own power connector at the back (looks like there'd be space to the right of the GPU). Oh, and it doesn't seem to be for sale anywhere

Still, looks pretty close/workable if you could get your hands on one. Any thoughts?

It's nowhere near the layout or versatility of the case that Valve used. The case you linked is designed for industrial setups. It also only has mounts for 2 50mm intake fans and room for only a 1 slot video card.

The closest case I have seen to the Steam Machine were either custom built one-off's or Silverstone's RVZ-01. The RVZ-01 has a very similar layout, albeit slightly larger interior and completely different exterior. If you are looking for the more plain look of the Steam Box then you should wait for Silverstone's ML07.

there is no such thing as Steam Machine Clone

The layout used by Steam machine prototype existed long before Valve made their prototype

And that prototype just simply one of the layout they choice from existing PC designs. Steam machine can have with varieties of different shape and sizes, not just one
