So I just got my Link. Set it up. plugged in a genuine xbox 360 wired controller. Got through all the setups. Found my PC and then went to stream into it and the controller stopped working.. If I manually go to my PC and try to launch a game, it won't. Does remote desktop need to be active? ( I keep remote desktop off )

Did you set Steam to Big Picture mode on the host PC?

Remote desktop is not needed. I always disable the service(s) it depends on and never had an issue streaming with the Steam Link.

It went big picture automatically. Should I put it in big picture before trying to connect?.

I have a Rii mini keyboard/ mouse that I'll plug in and try.

Did you install a driver for your controller? If not you should install the driver from device manager and then check it with Steam.

you might need to setup the controller in steam on your host computer, open steam on your computer:

Go to Settings
Controller
General Controller Settings
And make sure Xbox Configuration Support is enabled

Steam in home-streaming works great with my wired xbox, wireless xbox and android bluetooth controller but I did have issues until I went to this menu and activated all the configuration support settings.

It was left unchecked, so I'll give it a go a little later and see. Thanks
