ok, so i dont need anything facy as i got an external switch hooked up to my CD-rom(soldered on by yours truly...first soldering ever :)) and now it comes time to stealth the drives... only thing i see issues with is the place i would be putting thefront panel on is further back then the edges of the CD-rom and the headphone port... now what can i do? is there some sort of thick glue that i can use to raise the thing? or what??? please leme know!!!

It should if you have a high quality type, I would recommend that kind with the green backing like the ones here. I personally use this extremely strong tape used to hold carpets down, it gets the job done well :D

Pretty much any good quality double sided tape should work. I wouldn't recommend the generic Scotch tape though, it didn't work for me. Whatever you do, don't glue it, tape should work fine and you can get it off when you need / want to.
