Stealth fans worth it ?

So I want to get some quieter fans. How good are the vantec stealth fans? Or something compareable to it.

Many would argue that the Vantec Stealth fans are far from quiet. The 2 ball-bearing design naturally is noisier than a sleeve-bearing design. I prefer the 80mm Panaflo Low.

That explains why I thought my 120mm Stealth was loud Damn... thought it was just me being too sensitive.

That said, I find the Panaflo seems to give more airflow for the sound level.

Ditto. The 120mm stealths are loud and make a horrible whining sound (the two that I had did at least). However, their 92mm is dead silent. The 80mm is pretty good too, a little louder than the 92mm, but very much bearable. Panaflos I recommend though, they're just an awesome fan. I have a 92mm sitting on my heatsink right now, and at 1600RPM, it's close to silent and keep my load temp at 42C

Nexus makes a good, quiet 120mm fan. The Vantec Stealth isn't even in the same universe as far as sound level goes.

The Masscool 80mm fans they have on Volume Discount at Newegg.com are really quiet.
I would recommend them.

yeea the vantec stealth 80mm and 92mm fans are 20dBA while the 120mm fans are 28dBA <----stealth??
