Was wondering if anyone could help me, a friend of mine is haveing computer problems the only reason hes not reformatting is because he has some things saved that he needs.

apparentley when he starts up he goes to his login screen, he can put in his password and than it wont go any further, his mouse can move but it wont access his desktop. hes haveing problems going into safe mode and recovering the files, i was wondering if anyone had soultion ideas Other than booting in safemode :confused: thx
