This is what i get...

We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start up successfully. A recent hardware or software change might have caused this.

If your computer stopped responding, restarted unexpectedly, or was automatically shut down to protect your files and folders, choose Last Known Good Config to revert to the most recent settings that worked.

Blah blah blah....

Safe Mode
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt

Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)

Start Windows Normally

When i choose Safe Mode, Last known Good Config or Start Windows Normally. It goes into a black screen and doesn't do anything after that... Like it froze.

Don't know what to do :(

[rant]Apparently Syn57 wanted to make his first post ever on the [H] forums a memorable one, so he posts on this poor guys thread with a useless unhelpful taunting and stupid reply. Well congrats Syn57, welcome to the [H] forums if you wanted us to all know something about you, you've succeeded in telling us something about the person that you are. BTW while I have your attention, let me direct you to the Rules. Of particular note to you should be this one
No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts
. [/rant]

Now back to the problem at hand.
Maxx, another option for you aside from a full format/reinstall as was suggested would be a Repair install. Your Win XP (or if you have 2000 this is also applicable) CD will have an automatic recovery/repair option and you can use sometimes to get an ailing OS fixed without losing your other programs and files. Here are some instructions to guide you through the Repair process. Anyway hope that helps.

Try these steps in order to fix windows:

1. Boot off the cd, run the recovery console and give it a "chkdsk /p".

2. Do a repair install of winxp

3. Totally reinstall the OS.

Ok thanks.
I am afraid this would come to this :(

I know Syn from [H]ard Gaming CS. He thinks i hack.
