I just built a new system, specs:
Intel Core i7 - 930
OCZ 4GB 1333 Ram
2 x Zotec GTX460 786MB Sli
850w PSU
P6T LGA 1366 X58 ATX Motherboard
2x Cav blue 500gb Harddrives
I'm playing sc2 on max settings, 1920x1200 res, and I am getting some skipping during gameplay... Is this normal for this setup with these settings? Should I be worried? Do I need to fix anything with my system? I could always just turn the settings down a bit I guess, but I feel like this system should have no problem running SC2. Thanks.

make sure game speed is all the way up in the gameplay options, i did that first time i played it. also maybe try fiddling with vsync settings. bnet2.0 will slow your computer down if your opponent's is real bad so i could also be that. your rig should def handle sc2 maxed except for maybe a few of the custom games where there are hundreds of units at a time

Also, CPU speed is incredibly important for SC2. Overclocking that i7 will give you a nice bump in performance.

do me a favor, disable sli and let me know if the skipping continues. SC2 doesn't really support SLI.

Ok I'll do that when I get home, let you know the result...Thanks everybody for ur input, and as far as overclocking, is that dangerous 4 your system? i was thinking about doin the cpu and the cards.

oh and I thought sli or crossfire is not officially supported on sc2 yet? or am I wrong on that account?
