Besides storyline videos/missions, is there a reason to pick up both WoL and HoS?
A bit confused about how SC2 works. Is HoS an expansion or a full game?

It's an expansion. You need WoL to install HotS, but multiplayer is the same whether you own HotS or not

This used to be the case, but now HotS is a standalone game; you no longer need WoL to play HotS.
