Anyone else missing work units / points from today? Per logs a lot of my work units were queued but eventually made it through...I wonder if there is some sort of delay updating on their end?

I have turned in work from at least 15 clients that I can count, but only am seeing about 12,000 points for the day. I wanted to check here before posting over at foldingforum about it.

I think it is all relics fault :(

I believe I am but I haven't kept a log of any completed WUs. I hate keeping records of anything and prefer to keep track of everything mentally, which has proven more reliable than anything else. Having said that, I am almost certain there are unaccounted WUs from my very recent production. If that's indeed the case, they will show up eventually providing they don't have any errors or corruptions. It might indeed be relic's fault, but I'll allow him to confirm any involvement. ;) :D

Well whatever happened to my work, *relic generated blackhole* , I really got screwed today :(

The truth is it's much easier to keep track of work units then points. If you follow it long enough you will start to see a pattern.

earlier today I was showing a 3 work unit increase at Stanford but only two showed up on the stats. Since Stanford only produces an update sheet for the stats site every 3 hours sometimes the last unit in won't hit their published database until the next time around.

Sounds wierd, but that's how it works. I did notice yesterday and the day before Stanford either missed a few database updates or didn't pulblish the for the stats site. I've also had units get lost for a week or more then suddenly show up.

To be honest I've never had them actually lose one.;)

Ill be patient and hope they show up... I think I have about 20 or so missing at the moment. The fact that a lot were sitting in the queue all day on my boxes leads me to beleive they are held up somewhere. Relic is probably trying to scrub my name off the work units as I type this, to buy one more day!

If you had some in queue that were later transmitted instead of being transmitted at the time they were finished, it's likely they were eventually sent to a secondary server. If that's the case, then it will take some time for the WUs to show up. If they get picked up by a secondary collection server, it takes time for Stanford to get everything updated correctly and all the work units credited to the rightful owners.

This is a somewhat normal occurance and trust me, it's a hell of a lot better than it used to be. at least in this case they do get sent back and sent back on time which means you will get full credit for them. At one time there weren't any secondary collection servers and you would have to wait until the primary server you received the WU from was ready to accept before it would go back. In some cases the server would forget it issued the WU and you might not get credit for it.

Don't worry, you'll probably see a big ass dump here in a couple of days from all the missing WUs.

Even if those units somehow did get lost for whatever reasons, it will only delay the inevitable for a very brief time. With your current production level, hardly anyone is safe for very long.
