Trying to access Stanford site to download the GPU client ..and it keeps telling me "access denied" ...

anyone else having this problem?

Well I checked one of my GPU clients this morning and it's stuck in a loop of trying to download some new core and it seems there's a problem with it.

"[10:50:16] + 1904640 bytes downloaded
[10:50:16] + 1908734 bytes downloaded
[10:50:16] Verifying core Core_11.fah...
[10:50:16] Bad file format for downloaded core bundle.
[10:50:16] Failed to verify core
[10:50:16] + Error: Could not extract core
[10:50:16] + Core download error (#2), waiting before retry...

[10:50:32] + Downloading new core: FahCore_11.exe"

It just keeps trying to download it and keeps saying the file is a bad format, stanford strikes again.

I have tried removing everything from the folder and letting it start over, same result. I've copied the cores from the other GPU client and put them there and when it starts it says "core outdated" and starts to download the bad core file again. So that GPU folder is out of service until they fix their stuff.

for shits and giggles.. check your system date and make sure it didnt change..

I'll look at it when I get back home, but I'm curious about the two different file name/types. It says it's downloading FahCore_11.exe but what's actually coming down the pipe is Core_11.fah The other GPU client and the WinSMP client are still running fine.

I had started getting EUEs on one of my clients so I had deleted work folder, when that didnt work I decided to wipe the cores too and redownload. I then had the same core_11.fah download error loop as The_Heretic yesterday as well. Copied my fahcore_11.exe from another client and it started right up.

Vijay acknowledged the issue from his blog and the Stanford IT staff will look at this.

Yeah agreed, just got home and it's back to normal now Folding away, so they fixed whatever it was. Plus I did check the time on the machine and it's fine.

Edit- looking at the logfile it appears they got the valid core in around 12:00 cst. (-6 GMT)
