Standford & CMU Finish Darpa Urban Challenge

Only 2 entrants managed to make it through the Darpa Urban Challenge within the time limit this year. Self driving cars field by Carnegie Mellon University and Stanford.

In the running for the $2 million first prize and $1 million second prize are Stanford's robotic VW Passat, Virginia Tech's modified Ford Escape Hybrid, and Carnegie Mellon's autonomous Chevrolet Tahoe. These teams finished the urban challenge's three missions within the allotted six hours and without significant problems.

Yea... it even mentions in the text you quoted that VT finished in time. The text isn't fully correct either, since Ben Franklin Racing managed to finish within the 6 hour time limit too.
