What do you guys think about standing desk microphones. I am thinking about maybe keeping my Denon Ahd 2000's, my only problem is that I hate low quality microphones that dangle all over the place and transmit lots of background noise. My current solution is the PC360 Sennheiser headset. One cable that comes out, I have a nice mic and decent drivers.
However as I said earlier, could I go by having the Denon and not using the stupid Zallman mic that every one is raving about and get an actual nice microphone? If yes can you guys recommend me some? If I had a microphone sitting on my desk, will it pick up more noise than the headset mic that is close to my mouth, or that depends on the quality of the microphone?
 
logitech usb desktop microphone works perfectly for me and two of my friends. good range and good quality, works out of the box.
 
the logitech is a great quality mic but if you're in a room with alot of background noise it picks it up.
