Stalker Clear Sky Complete

It is. These mods are must uses for their respective STALKER games.

I can't wait to see them hit Pripyat. :)
 
How is it? Is it buggy? I'm about to give this an install since I've time this weekend.
 
I'm going to install it to - I never did finish this game... not unusual for me really... I haven't even finished Dragon Age yet.

What I really need though is a more powerful GPU... if God is listening, I wouldn't mind a GTX 480, thank you very much.
 
If we have not played Stalker yet, but just picked up a new gpu and are looking for some eyecandy goodness, which one should we start on? I'm thinking Clear Sky and then Pripyat, but let me know -- they are all cheap on Steam.

If you haven't played any of the STALKER games yet,you should start with the first one, Shadow of Chernobyl,with the STALKER Complete 2009 mod.It's the best of the series story wise.Clear Sky is the weakest entry in the series in my opinion,but still fun.
 
I say he should start with clear sky complete since it's a prequel to SoC, it features a more simplistic hud and PDA, it even has a grenade indicator, but that doesn't mean it's easier than SoC, prepare to save up huge amounts of ruvles for suit and weapon upgrades :) here's a very detailed wiki with all the guns suits etc you can find in all 3 games http://stalker.wikia.com/wiki/"Bulat"_armored_suit
 
Clear Sky complete isn't quite complete yet is it? It's just an early release but they are constantly working on it.

STALKER SOC: Complete took awhile to get to it's best.
 
The Complete mod doesn't work for me. I'm running Win7 64. Have tried a bunch of stuff, but can't seem to get the game to initialize with the gamedata folder.
 
I couldn't finish Clear Sky, simply wasn't fun for me like SoC was, but maybe with this mod I'll give it another try some time. I wish CS had a god/cheat mode so I could just finish it up and see the story through.

Assuming you have the Steam version, delete the thumbfiles in "C:\Program Files\steam\steamapps\common\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky".
 
Stalker Complete 2009 for SoC is amazing, and is a must play. I wasn't aware CS Complete was release, looks like I'll be playing some STALKER: CS this weekend :). Thanks artistpavel, you do amazing work :cool:.
 
Just finished Clear Sky Complete in 29 hours. The mod is great. Alot of fun. Not a single crash/bug/BOSD/glitch in the full 29 hours. Rock-stable. :)

But SoC Complete 2009 was beter IMHO. It was an amazing experience for me. One of the best game I've played in years. So I was really anxious to try CS Complete. I was not disappointed. Not SoC Complete epic greatness, but nice to play anyway.

Faction war was ok, but waiting 15 minutes for the clear-green dot to reach me was sooo booooring. While waiting for it to reach me, and looking at the map, and seeing, arrrgghhh NOOO! a red dot mutant going for it and killing it, I could have eaten my screen! No... no... nooooo! Please don't kill him! Please! I don't want to wait for the clear-green dot another 15 minutes!... Sigh, ok, ok... I will go meet the next ''clear-green-dot-guy'' and babysit him until we reach the yellow dot... Sigh... Must learn to clean all the map BEFORE taking the objective, to be sure a mutant sneezing at him won't kill him... :)

But after a while, I didn't even answered all the calls for aid and went exploring and doing the main quest... I was just cleaning the map, killing all opposition.

And Clear Sky ending was lame. Really, really lame. :(
 
There is a STALKER Call of Pripyat "Redux" mod beta, which might help tide people over until the fabled "Complete" mod comes around.
 
Incidentally, I've updated my STALKER mod page to reflect the new 2012 release. Some of the wording needs updating, though (evilsofa?), what with the new installer and other changes. It can be found here:

You're welcome, though it's really evilsofa's baby. I just imported the text into Dw, formatted it, and posted it to my website, as I didn't want such a massive amount of very useful information lost to the ravages of time.

Thanks Fleggett. The mod installer still says 2009, but it will updated shortly to reflect the new name.
 
Hi, artistpavel. I'll definitely keep updating the page as new info becomes available/is written about.

I applied the CS patch (which looks terrific, BTW), but I've run into a problem with the first "mission", where you're suppose to help the lookout guy fend off the critters on the ground. I kill the two warthog-looking beasts and scale the tower, but nothing ever happens. No blowout or anything. Is that a problem with the original code or with the mod?
 
yeah im playing soc complete 2009 right now. its so awesome. i remember back when stalker was released and i just couldnt get into it. now, i rebought the game, installed, put in complete 2009 and voila, instant addiction lol. i guess i have more patience now than before lmao.
 
if you are playing it again, grab the realistic weapon addon they have on the stalker complete site. just play it on at least vet because it can get too easy. with the mod you easily use 1/4 less ammo. you dont have to search every body and sell as much because you dont spend so much on ammo. made it more enjoyable.
 
Jesus, Clear Sky Complete looks even better than Pripyat? It's barely running, maxed out, on my GTX 480 though.
 
Hi, artistpavel. Sorry for not replying sooner, but I've recently gone through some "interesting times" in that Chinese way (involving needles and scalpels). I'll definitely get to the newest patch when I can return to gaming and will update the page to reflect the trailer.
