I heard of this with SATA drives.(Staggered Spinup) I have raid-0 raptors on my A7V8N-E Deluxe with a SL400 (Antec Smart Power 400watt) The drives are connected to the sata power and I was wondering if they were actually taking turns spinning up. If so that would be really cool. Anybody Know?
 
I doubt it. Staggered spin up is part of SATA-II, and the Raptors are bridged PATA drives. Look for staggered spin-up goodness from a native SATA-II drive such as MaxLineIII or Barracuda 7200.8.

Staggered spin up is not much of a benefit to you, as your CPU and most likely your GPU pull on +12, and since they are not under load when your comp boots, your pretty beefy +12 line is available to meet hard drive spin up demands, and after they spin up, the power draw of your hard drives on +12 decreases significantly, making that +12 current available to your CPU and GPU which need it more more your tasks. However, if you are running many hard drives (6+), particularly higher draw 10K or 15K units, staggered spin-up becomes a quite valuable tool.
