Stable overclock but games running slower?

here are my specs:

EVGA 122-YW-E173-TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i
e8500 dual core
4mb CORSAIR XMS2 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
geforce 9800gtx
thermaltake pure power 680w

i overclocked the processor to 3.7 ghz. vcore is a tad over stock at 1.25625v. Ram is at 4-4-4-12 at 800 mhz and the voltage is 2.1. It passed 24hours prime95 large fft. Should be okay right? Performance on call of duty world at war is much worse than stock. I thought it could be the ram but shouldn't it have failed prime 95.

my temps are around 60 degrees C at full load. kinda high i thought but it's really hot in my room. spp is running at 60C at full load and idle. doesn't change more than 2 degrees C. is my cpu throttling? i turned off speedstep in the bios.

I'm gonna run memtest overnight to see if that's the problem. if it's not what else could it be?

I'm using an arctic cooler 7 with arctic silver. Running a little hot me thinks.
 
60º at load is not hot for that OC on air. Maybe the heat in your case from the OC is effecting the gpu. What kind of cooling solution do you have on the gpu? Have you measured the temps on the gpu? With the rig under load?
 
Gpu is around mid 40 degrees C under full load. It has the stock fan on it

Also i forgot to mention: Overvolted to spp to 1.4v and it's running 60 degees C under full load also. Is that cool enough for the northbridge?

Also ram passed memtest 12 hours.
 
Is that with the gpu under load, or the gpu temp with the cpu under load? Try the FurRenderer that always cooks my gpus well, or check the temp during game play. I had similar issues a while back, my OC wound up corrupting my OS, and I believe my drivers as I would have monitor black outs during games, lock ups, missing dll files, just a lot of random problems that all went away after a fresh install, and return to stock speeds.
 
gpu under load with occt is 80 degrees C. It also made it produce one error. is my graphics card screwed?
 
Can you give us a little more info on the differences you experience?

Shit, once occt showed me having a ton of errors and I never had any problems playing games. Maybe it was a bug with the program but it came up with 20,000+ errors.

okay so occt produces errors by mistake? okay that's good to hear. what about the temp. 80 degrees C with occt gpu stability test. and 85 C with that fur render thingy. is this too hot? it's kinda hot in my room. no AC. i dont' get any artifacts or anything when i play stock or with the cpu overclocked.

my overclock is 1500 fsb with 9.5 multiplier.

Do you mean the difference in performance? I'm getting lots of stuttering when there's alot of action going on when the cpu is overclocked. It goes away immediatly after i return everything to stock.
