Stability test a video card?

Hi!

I just bought an x800 on ebay, and I'm getting really funky crashes in most my games, after a few minutes of playing. Are there any prime95 utilities for video cards? How do I fix this stupid problem? It might be my motherboard, which is an a7v8x, and is shitty. See my previous posts to my problems there...

So, yeah, random crashes (sometimes to desktop, sometimes reset). WTF?

Have you tried different drivers or reinstalling the ones you have?

Since you bought it on ebay, expect a low overclock because the seller rejected it instead of keeping it for himself.

Run that real time high dynamic range lighting voodoo program. Keep your case cool and if you see crashing, downclock the card or else just return the card to the seller. Go to Fry's and pick another one up.

it was "http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=5110346956&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT" - that's the auction. I don't think he sold it because he didn't want it, he had a few of them available.

Is there any chance that my motherboard could be doing it? Also, what's a good program for monitoring GPU temperature? Would the ATI drivers be good enough?

Just got a benchmark in 3dmark03 of 8633. I clocked my CPU down to 2.0, incase that was it before hand. Is that an alright score?

Hmm, that demo sure is beautiful. Have anything more like it? =D

It didn't crash, strangely (and almost disappointingly enough). The temperature got around 69 deg C, that's not at all good. That's with Overdrive disabled too. Should I enable overdrive?
