Hi guys,

I just sold my old SN41G2 to start the transition to PCI Express and considering to buy the ST20G5. I'm not a hardcore gamer(used to be), so the onboard video is good enough for now. Later on I will purchase a mid-range Nvidia card for it. Since Shuttle has the $100 MIR I'm thinking this will be the best option. The final price is after MIR is around
$250ish.

Haven't decided on what CPU, but my budget is $150ish
Components putting in.

160GB IDE drive
1GB Patriot PC3200 Dual channel
Plextor 12x +/- DVDRW

What do yo think?

If you can wait 2 weeks shuttle should be releasing new shuttle's at cebit in march 9 - 15.
The new nforce 6100/6150 G5 should be released.

Hopefully

I read about that too. And had my eyes on 6100 SFF PC. It depends how long I can hold on to the coffers before my wife decides to spend it :)

So all in all ST20G5 is a decent budget SFF for now ?

I'm sure the new shuttle will also carry a decent price premium over the st20g5...With $150 for the processor, I'd just look at whatever processor comes in closest to that point. Should be a 3200+...

I hear ya bob. I paid around $460 for SN41G2 when it first came out in Japan. Price came down fast after about 6 months, but I still think I paid too much for that.

I might just purchase the ST20G5. You can't beat the $100MIR
