Been googling this and the best information I can come up with is "inconsistent". I'm looking to use two ST2000DL003 HDs (Seagate Barracuda Green 2TB SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache) in fakeRAID on an Intel Z68 controller but the information I've gleaned from reading here is that they drop out of the array? I've not noticed them spinning down since I disable that in Windows Power Options but I could be missing something. If these are a no go any recommendations on low-cost HDs that will work?

My mobo also has a JMicron JMB36X controller if that has any use, I'm not even sure I can configure it in RAID.

As a fallback will Windows software RAID work?
