So to make a long story short, I happened to acquire a new/unused Tyan Thunder K8QS Pro quad Opteron board for dirt cheap, the deal was too good to pass up. The PSU and processors are pretty easy to find. The bad news is that is it an SSI-MEB footprint and cases are hard to find and usually expensive. Does anyone have any suggestions to who makes a cheap to moderately priced tower or rackmount case for one of these guys?

Either or (Tower/Rackmount). Nice recommendation, I was hoping I could find something cheaper, but none-the-less that's the price range I've been stuck in/trying to avoid if possible(considering that the board only cost $75). This is more of a hobbyist project so the cheaper the better (not likely going to be the case though). Anyway keep the suggestions coming.

Hey guys sorry to dig up an old thread but I am also looking for a MEB size case.
But I would prefer a rackmount solution. Also would prefer one that does not use 1u PSUs (those are loud!)
 
Try Cooler Master HAF 932 or GigaByte Aurora 3D 570.
You need however to do DIY a little for mobo retention holes.
With the cases, I am sure you don't have to do move PSU somewhere else in the case.
