SSI (EPS) 4 Rail PSU's (input requested)

I am seeing a number of people purchasing very powerful SSI/EPS 4-rail (+12V) PSU's for their single CPU PC's.

Now in the SSI/EPS specs: http://www.ssiforum.org/Power Supplies/EPS12V_Spec 2_1.pdf ,
on page 12, dedicate +12V1 to CPU #1, +12V2 to CPU #2, +12V3 to baseboard componets other than CPU &
+12V4 to drives and peripheals.

These people are using these PSU's in high-end SLI, single CPU systems & often have problems.

The PC P&C 850SSI, Enermax (851) 660W & Silverstone Zeus 650W were IMO never intended for single CPU PC's.

The results are not good, cross-loading issues abound & the +12V is often unstable, especially the PC P&C.

It is also obvious that the entire out-put of +12V2 is going to waste, as there is no 2nd CPU for it to power.

IMO PC P&C, Enermax, Silverstone & everyone marketing a SSI PSU to the general public,
including nVidia due to their SLI Certified list, needs to explain just what these PSU are designed for &
publish their cross-loading requirements (as Silverstonw did).

You input is requested.

Thanks,
Dave ;)
