i cant seem to get my shuttle build to post on start up. when i press the power button everything kicks in fans full speed mobo light is on. this is my first time with a shuttle i dont hear any beeps but then i dont see any speaker in the case for it to beep. along with the main power plug for the mobo i have the 4 square plug into the mobo. what else am i missing? im using onboard video i dont have an extra pci-x card to test at the moment. i have 1 ide and 1 dvd rom. and 1gb 800 ddr2 ram but the mobo is spec'd at 667 ddr2 i dont konw if this is a problem. i tried to boot without anything other than a cpu no post. so i turned it off asap.also tried without hard drive and then again without dvd rom nothing. also im using an e6750. maybe the cpu isnt compatible? can i run the computer without the cpu to get into bios?

well, i've owned 3 shuttles in the past, and every single one of them sometimes would have this boot / no-post issue. this mostly only occured on a cold boot though.

what would sometimes work for me is letting the powersupply run for a bit. then, i would flick the psu switch on and off a few times to sort of charge it up, and then give the power button a shot. most of the time, it worked for me.

you can also try resetting the cmos and then booting up in this manner. this is definitely a common issue for shuttles that many people have complained about. good luck and let me know if this helped in getting a successful bootup.
 
Here what worked with my SG33G5:

Try with one stick of ram, alternate the DIMM slots until you can finally boot.

When you do, quicky enter bios, and set the DIMM voltage to the correct spec.

My OCZs refuse to boot with anything less than 2.1v. I believe the mobo starts at 1.9v.

Shuttles are very picky when it comes to RAM, and voltage.

well i found out that my cpu isnt supported on the shuttle list for this model of shuttle. so hopefully changing to a differnt cpu will work
