I've seen the Intel 311 SSD with model number "SSDMAESC020G201" floating around but this doesn't appear to be on the Intel Ark with the more common "SSDSA2VP020G201" being there.

Does anyone know what the difference is?

The MAE version has a Micro-Sata (usually on-board and not standard 2.5" form factor) interface and the other is a standard SATA 2.5" FF.
