SSD sleep question

Hi all:

After much google searching - I can't seem to find a definite answer. I have a Crucial M4 512GB SSD on firmware 0309. Would it be okay to let it sleep? I have run it 24/7 for over a year now. I've read a lot about people having issues with waking from sleep but is it still an issue now?

Thanks!

Unless you are talking about a laptop, I would not bother. Think of this an idle SSD uses less than $1 US per year to run 24/7/365. Is that $1 worth the chance of problems?

I also have a Crucial M4, what is the sleep issue anyway?
