SSD showing as RAID on Windows

So I have a Dell Precision R5500 workstation.
In it is several things but for this situation a H700 Perc raid controller.
That raid card connects to a SAS backplane that supports 6 2.5" drives

I installed a new SATA drive in the backplane and it's a SSD drive. Replacing the primary boot drive. The drive is basically setup as a single raid 0 drive on the backplane.

It is showing up in dfrgui in Windows 2016 as optimizable. Also shows up as something that is going to be defraged or optimized and when it was doing something with it it went on for a while so doesn't sound like some kind of trim command.

Also when I look at it in diskpart at the info of the drive it shows Type: RAID. Not SSD. Afraid this thing is going to be constantly defraging/optimizing the drive at this point. Any way to get Windows to see this drive as SSD? I know in the Raid Web Console it shows up as SSD. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

is there an option in the RAID controllers BIOS to set the drive as a "single disk" or something like that? AFAIK if a controller is presenting a RAID volume, the OS can't see through that to the individual disks even if there is only one.

Let me check however is it then assumed that when I do like a raid 10 setup with a bunch of SSD that windows will defrag them? I can turn it off completely but for some reason Windows isn't giving me the option to select drives to optimize, just all disks shows up but no option to pick individual disks. Not sure if it's bad or not, lot of conversations out there about defrag SSD is bad and others saying SSD's get fragmented so not bad. Others say it doesn't derag but trims but clearly looks like it wants to defrag saying 13% fragmented right now.

Note, you'd think you could change the Type from RAID to SSD or something manually but maybe not.

Note 2: Nope, H700 does not support single disk without creating a VD in this scenario of Raid 0.

Thanks.

I do believe the perc cards will show a single disk as raid, as it doesn't have an ahci option. Could be wrong though, been at least a few years since I had one.
