I currently have a HighPoint RocketRAID 2720SGL with 5 OCZ Agility 3 120 GB drives in raid 5, i am looking at returning this card and going with something more powerful. Looking for this to be my boot drive with games on it.

After finding good cables and the correct PCI-e slow i am getting roughly these speeds

What card would offer better performance than this which 8 ports ( looking to possibly expand in the future to 8 drives )
 
Well, RAID0 is common, RAID5/6/50/60 in enterprise setup why not, but for your usage it's more trouble than it's worth IMHO.
