Day to day usage for most folks means QD's of 1-5. Only heavy, heavy multi-tasking would go beyond that steadily. This is precisely why I'm wondering if I should hold out for the C400's vs. the Vertex 3's I was so dead-set on buying Monday. The C400's may follow the same pattern as the C300's in which the lower QD reads are beefed up on those drives. That's where most of the day to day meat is going to be happening. That said, the Vertex 3 is, and will be a ridiculously fast SSD - especially compared to my first-gen Vertex's.
