Hello everyone

I have recently purchased an Intel 320 120GB SSD for my computer (Asus 6Pt Deluxe based on X58 chipset). When it comes to SSDs, I dont know anything except that they are fast and good to store OS and programs. I plan to use my other harddrives to store my documents and digital media. However I also have lots of questions regarding how to install and properly configure the system

) Do I need to install Intel RST software?
) How do I enable Trim in Windows 7?
) Do I need to do anything special after installing Windows 7, like disabiling System Restore (which I usually disable anyway) or paging, or does Windows 7 automatically take care of everything?
) Is it recommended to install Intel SSD Toolbox?

Any tips or instructions I should follow after or before Windows 7?

Thank you in advanced

1. Need to? No, but there's no reason not to, either.
2. It should be enabled automatically. To make sure, open a command prompt and type "fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify". If it returns a 0, it's enabled.
3. There's nothing you need to do, but there are a whole lot of tweaks that you can do to slightly improve performance/lifetime. I'll get you some links in a second. Edit: See here and here.
4. Never heard of it, can't comment. :(

As someone said in one of the links, you can pretty much just install Windows 7 and be done, as if it were an HDD. Windows takes care of the super important stuff, like disabling disk defragmenter and enabling TRIM. Any other tweaks are purely optional.

The reason I ask for Intel RST is because everytime I install it on my PC (HDD set to ACHI), the computer wont boot in to Windows (or even safe mood). I have to go to System Repair and do a system restore to get it working. It used to work fine, but the new version is not acting right for some reason
