I have a Samsung 830 ssd (256gb version) that I have had for a good while now. Recently windows and some games have started to hick-up and run real slow.
I ran the samsung magician speed test on my ssd and it takes 10 minutes to complete.
I have a sequential read speed of 286 MB/s and write of 242 MB/s.
Random Read IOPS of 2258 and write IOPS of 2088.
I'm running Windows 8.1, up to date on patches, no new hardware or software installed in the last few months. AHCI mode is on, its in a SATA 6GB/s port. Drive has the newest firmware. Drive is about 20% empty currently. System restore is off, indexing is off, prefetch is off, TRIM is on, pagefile is on another drive.
When I first got the drive I ran some speed test and it was really fast but I don't know what kind of performance IOPS I got. Windows and games were really snappy, and I really noticed the difference coming from a fast spinning drive.
Any idea what's going on? Ideas of things I can check? Thanks!
