SSD in Raid-0 "double write lifetime"?

I understand the risks of Raid-0 in the general sense, but would an SSD Raid-0 setup increase the longevity of SSDs? My logic comes from the assumption that SSDs eventually stop writing and in Raid-0 writes are shared. Therefore, since the SSD isn't writing as much as it would in a standalone configuration, wouldn't its write life be extended?
 
Actually I think it's the contrary, it only increase the write amplification and lower the life expectancy of the SSD is my guess but i'm no expert...

You would have the same number of writes but they would only be smaller. The data would have to be deleted and then re-writen on the whole 512k page on each SSD anyway unless of course the 512k is empty of course. For bigger files it wouldn't mater as much.
 
This would be true only if you are writing the same amount of data.

But its misleading to say you double the write life as you bought double the amount of drives

My question is...do you need the more "write life" or is this a case of buying a life insurance to age 200?
