I have a SSD with OS installed and a blank HDD in no raid configuration currently in my system. I plan to install my programs and all other crap into the HDD only.

My OS is windows 7 64-bit and from my understand, there are 2 types of program files. One for 64-bit and the other for 32-bit(x86). How do i install 64-bit and 32-bit programs/games into the blank HDD since it is blank and doesnt have the program files allocation?

I know that i could just install it into the HDD but what im trying to do is have the programs/games installed the right way for either 64-bit or 32-bit so that it could run in its native bit that it was written in. Any advice?
 
It's normal and perfectly ok to just install it directly to the hdd, no need for any kind of special 'program files' location. You can install them anywhere you want. The apps won't magically change from 64 to 32 bit or anything like that, they will run fine.
 
I'm sorry if I don't quite understand you but do you mean that both 64 & 32 bit program/games will fully run in its respective bits? If this is the case, what's with the 2 different program files anyway? Is it windows way of spilting it up but doesn't really affect it in any way?
 
It will automatically run in the right mode - if it is a 64-bit program it'll install to the 64-bit folder and run in 64-bit. Likewise, 32-bit. If you want to know how to put stuff on the HDD instead of the SSD, you can use symbolic links to map the folder from the SSD to the HDD and it'll install there seamlessly.
 
A symbolic link is basically a shortcut to a folder on another drive - the OS thinks it is installing to Program Files on the C drive, but because of the symbolic link, the files are actually going to the folder on the D drive. It lets you seamlessly move stuff from a SSD to a HDD.

Easy way is to use Link Shell Extension (there are other programs as well). You can just cut and paste the folder from the SSD to the HDD, then right-click and select the folder on the HDD as the link source, and then right click on where you want the symbolic link (back on the SSD) and paste it as a Junction. It sounds complicated, but is actually very easy once you try it.
 
Ok this sounds really complicated lol. What if i dont go through the steps you mention and just installed my programs/games anyway.... Will it run like its supposed to run? Just like what Jthomas said?

Basically if i have 2 games, one supports 64-bit and the other 32-bit only, and i installed both into my HDD, both with its own folder assuming both are different games. Will the 64-bit game run at 64-bit?

Sorry if i came off noobish from the beginning but this is my first time dealing with 2 storage drives...
 
Yes, it'll automatically install the correct version in the correct place - but you'll find that not that many things are native 64-bit.
