• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

No, you can WOL from a PC that was shut down by any and all means. As long as its still plugged into the wall, it can wake up....

Did it say it can take ECC DIMMs? I know one would want ECC DIMMs but I never saw anything that explicitly said it takes ECC.
Oh....I guess you would want ecc dimms wouldnt you.....I didn't even think about that.

Yep, ECC would be nice, especially because I've got a gig of it here I can't use for anything else. How about registered?

why would one want ECC DIMMs? In the end, I don't think one would use it as long-term storage anyway.

RAM is vulnerable to single bit errors caused by electromagnetic radiation. Even cosmic radiation can cause bits in RAM chips to flip. ECC can detect and correct such single bit errors. It can also detect (but not correct) multi-bit errors. ECC is a really good idea.

'cause I've already got a gig of it that I can't use anywhere else...

because if you were to run your OS/swap file off this, the last thing you want is to have bad data getting spit out..

registered ecc is the way to go for this. i really hope they do this well, and do it right!
