So I was doing some website work for a friend of mine. He had this Kingston V Series 128GB SSD. He said he would sell it to me for $75. I decided to purchase it from him.
I hooked the drive up, formatted it and bingo there is the drive. When I look in the disk manager, the drive shows up. However, there is a 200MB EFI System Partition. I have tried to delete it through the disk manager and command line. I cannot get rid of it.
Next step is to just boot off the Windows 7 dvd and just do a clean reinstall. I just do not have the patience to deal with that. I eventually just want to clone my drive over to the ssd.
Keep in mind that I am only using 77GB on my main drive array.
Any suggestions before I hose my drive?
Thx
Update: I booted off the Windows 7 DVD and I saw the drive within the boot manager on the DVD. However, it would not allow me to install the OS onto the SSD. very strange. I have been searching for the last 30 minutes and have found no answers.
Thx again...
