This might be a noob question, but is this normal?

My boot drive (Win 7 Ultimate) seems capped at 300mb/s writes while my secondary drive (temp, pagefile, etc.) runs at full speed. Any ideas on what I can do to fix this?

Hardware:
Asus X99 Pro
Intel 5930
Crucial 240/480 M500 (latest firmware)
Intel onboard AHCI SATA (verified 6gbs ports, new SATA cables)
Latest chipset + RAID + AHCI drivers
Prefetch, Superfetch, Indexing, etc. disabled

completely normal.. the M500 240gb have a advertised write speed of 250mb/s, the m500 480gb have a advertised speed of 400mb/s. you have nothing to fix there..
