I am building a rig for my little nephew with some parts I had handy and some new ones, and I thought I should go for SSD caching, so that he gets some of the SSD benefits without the hassle of keeping track of the fullness of a small SSD.

Which way should I go? Intel IRST? Asus? Corsair? Which one has proven the best / most reliable?

Gonna reply to this because I'm asking the same question of myself. I see some vendor options like Dataplex and LSI Cachecade. There are some software only versions like Velo2012 and FancyCache. Anyone use SSD caching outside of the Intel onboard stuff and any recommendations if you do? Thanks.

Btw, don't try VeloSSD, not unless you like to get acquainted with "boot last known good"...
