SSD Alignment question

hi, i've just got my 1st ssd, im thinking installing windows 8 on it but i got some ??? about it

im gonna install w8, it should be ok with no need to alignment i guess, but if i wanna do after this a clean install will i have to do it?

im totally noob on this, plz help

If you use windows 7 or above there is no need to worry at all about alignment when you do a new install. The OS will correctly align it for you.

one more question, if a ssd is not alignment does it not damage it? the only thing that happens is performance issues?

Ive installed windows 7 on like 15 ssd's and never had to align anything. Nor have I ever "verified" the alignment. Not sure what info you are getting but, you do NOT need to do anything prior to window 7/8 install.

If there is no useful data currently on the SSD just delete all partitions when Windows 7/8 asks for storage. Then let windows create a partition for your ssd. Windows will create the partition properly aligned.
