Evening All:

I own the Shuttle SS21T Model. (Linkage)

If you take a look at those screenshots located on the Newegg page, you may notice that (to me) the alignment and position of various components (PCI-Slots / Memory) seem non-standard. As I take a look at other Micro-ATX boards the alignment of the slots etc seem different than the board that comes with the SS21T.

That said, my "problem" is: I want to change out the motherboard, but, from the pictures etc of various Micro-ATX boards and the one in my system don't seem like they'd match up correctly inside the case (i.e the PCI slots and the motherboard input slots)

So, am I just being fooled by the pictures and will any typical Micro-ATX board work in my Case?

Shuttle computers don't use standard MicroATX motherboards, they use FlexATX (i think that's the term) motherboards designed by Shuttle themselves. Basically, you'd only have a chance of switching your mobo for another Shuttle mobo (and even that's not guaranteed to work).

If you want to switch to a regular MicroATX motherboard, sell your shuttle and buy a full MicroATX case.

Think you'll need a flexBTX board for that shuttle. They were supposed to start selling them separately, but I don't know if that's happened yet.

Thanks mates. Guess I am SoL for a little while. No big deal, great info to know for future reference.
