Well... you'd need to tell us what hardware you have in order for us to tell you rather you'll have problems or not.

Make sure that your hardware is supported and that there are signed drivers for everything... which by now there usually are.
 
I'm not going to buy a new rig anytime soon, just wanting to make sure i understand. So if you have a 8gb of ram for 64 bit vista, how will 32 bit xp handle that? Will it just cap at 4GB like normal?
