SR: 500GB Roundup

Meh. I couldn't have seen that coming. Their results are useful in the sense that they confirm what I suspected - WD's generally fastest in single-user stuff, then Maxtor, then Seagate; Maxtor loudest/highest power draw, then Seagate, then WD. But if SR doesn't get a little more on top of their game (like, say, releasing reviews about products within a week or two of when they come out) I'm afraid they'll be fading to irrelevance. :(

whatever happened to that nice site called amdmb.com?

oh well who cares now......

useful review but a few months too late...

wait! What do they mean by seagate nl35.2?? Are they referring to seagates new 500GB SATA drive?

wow did drives get cheap... little over 200 for a 500 gig now... thats cheap
