Spyder4Elite - Calibrating Asus VH236H for console use

Hey guys,

I just got a Spyder4Elite and Asus VH236H. I've already played around with calibrating it in Windows which is great and creates an ICC profile for my computer to use but I'm wondering if I can calibrate it without an ICC profile (since consoles can't load a profile to my knowledge).

Put another way, I'd like to use only the OSD to calibrate the monitor with the Spyder as the sensor - possible?

usually you can only adjust the rgb values (which you should do before making a profile either way)

When I use the spyder software in windows, it doesn't prompt me to change the RGB values on the monitor at all. Am I missing something?

Found it - File, Preferences, then in that screen hit Advanced and check "ask about RGB controls"
