Hi,
I've just moved to jolly old England from Canada and decided to bring my beloved computer with me. I said goodbye to my lovely case and trusty 350W Enermax PSU and threw all my components into my suitcases to save on shipping.

So now I'm in England with a new case and PSU and having problems with spontaneous rebooting. Thing is, I'm short on cash right now, so I bought a crappy case with an even crappier 400Watt generic PSU. I was getting loads of problems, so I bought a better PSU, but still didn't spend much on it and I don't think it's much better. It's 450W, but quite frankly, the Wattage doesn't matter at all. 350W worked fine for me for years and I had more components running off it at home than I do now.

Back home, I ran my CPU @ 3.5, which was 290 fsb. I had to run my memory at 3:2 because it couldn't handle 5:4, but whatever, that was fine. Everything was really stable. Now, I get errors in Prime 95 within 10 minutes or less on those settings. Even bringing the fsb down to 250 causes random reboots after an hour of playing games or so.

Temps seem fine, the same as back home, so I don't think that's a problem. Running the Abit hardware monitor shows that the CPU voltage is dropping under load a bit, but I tried increasing it a bit and it didn't make any difference in stability. At 290 fsb, I'm running cpu voltage at 1.675, up from 1.525 default.

So I'm not really sure what the problem is right now. I don't think there's anything wrong with the CPU. The most obvious candidate is the PSU, but I'm not convinced that's the problem. It could be the memory settings. I don't have them at exactly what they used to be at just cause I don't remember, but how sensitive are memory timings anyway? I've got it set on "Auto detect" or whatever and the latencies are coming up as 2-5-2-2. I've tried setting those to 3-8-3-3 but that just makes things worse. Could the memory somehow have been damaged on the way over? Or do I just need to mess with the timings some more? I've put all GAT settings on Auto for now, but I used to have them set more aggressively.

Any ideas?

make the memory timings tighter.. for some reason some memory modules dont like relaxed timings from what i have seen on forums
