it depends on how you define engine. you couldent fit the WHOLE engine bay in a midtower, but if were just talkin the block, crank, and valves im sure you could fit it.
 
I know what you could use. I race RC Cars and we have a couple spinner wheel combos available for differant cars/trucks.
Blow is a link the the largest ones I think are available. They should be easy to mod for use on your case mod. you could also get the tires for the wheels or just the spinners. the link is for the wheel and the spinner combo.

Also there have been a couple Hummer RC cars for sale at wallmart that have spinners on them, it might be cheaper to get one of those, but it is just an idea, I dont know what your budget is.
 
just keep in mind when buying one of those...

80mm = 3.1 inches
120mm = 4.7 inches
 
as amusing as the enormous amount of sarcasm in this thread is, lets all behave, case modding is about making your machine your own, no matter what that is... if we have pink fuzzy cases there is no reason why a case cannot have spinners...

so lets all behave plz :cool:
 
thanxs but i find most of it quite funny think im gonna get those tires from the hobby shob and make it so my case can roll bit need to fond a way to get them to spin when i want them 2

hey man, if you somehow tilted each spoke of the spinner, then the air moving through the fan would spin it. it would still be going after the computer shuts off too from the momentum if they spun well enough :rolleyes:

ok its a mod for nfsu2 why dont u read the thread before u put it down hl2 had a case for the game they did a mars case for doom 3 i wanna try to do a nice case for nfsu2 so like my mom says if you dont have anything nice to say keep your mouth shut
 
my biggest question is why are you doing a NFSU 2 mod.. that game wasnt even that good, or worthy of its own case mod

cause it's not your case, and not your decision. ppl, leave the guy alone. I may not agree with him in doing this mod, but I do believe one should be able to do what he wants with his own case.

Anyone watch "Pimp My Ride"? Some company actually sells spinner grilles for subs.

There must be some kind of market and interest in it since they sell like crazy for rims, a company decided to invest the R&D money to make spinners designed to turn by the air displaced by a woofer when it hits, and this guy (or girl) has decided to put them on his case.

Hell, who am I to say what's cool... I've seen a lot of mods on here that look like crap but everyone gets all googley about them when they see pics.

It's his case, let him do what he wants I guess.

That being said. It's REALLY not my bag. Looks way to ricey, then again, I've always been more a fan of American made muscle and chrome to carbon fiber and plastic. Give me performance over bling.
 
the game wasnt the best im not saying it was but i want something that no one else has i play alot of the nfs games i owne almost all of the so i figured build a case for them to play on started the case today will put up pix in the next few days

specs for this machine are so far gonne be a barton 2800+ either a ti4400 or a 9600 depending on wich one is cheaper and 60 gig hdd 256-512mb ddr mem need to find a mobo now.
 
Flint kit flint kit, get flames shooting out the back exhaust pipes. And/or fog machine feat. "exhaust" or smoke (fog). Rig up a peddle to rev up your fans too. Don't forget the huge peice of shiny metal with the flappers taking up half the hood like in Fast and the Furious 1, "the 9 second car" OMG HAX LOL OMG Sw333T movie dooDz CELERONS RULE OMG LOL LOL!

rofl someone who rigs up a pedal that speed up their fans and can take a videoclip of it... I'd throw in $5 just to see it :)
 
Here's my $5 too... and $50 in food stamps I bought off the homeless guy for $.10 on the dollar.
 
Considering this is a case mod forum, I'm surprised how many people are saying this is a bad idea. I've seen a lot worse.

Anyways, if you have access to real spinners, you need to see how the internal section attaches to the actual rim. I think the biggest problem would be making the thing light enough for the fan to still spin; a fan with higher RPM would ensure that the grill isn't too heavy for the fan to rotate at all.

I really hope you get this working. It's so over the top, it's hilarious.

Personally I hate spinners .. I hate the whole Ricer look .. Still .. If that is what this guys is looking for who am I to say anything.

because its only cool if their huge :)

and diamond studded....nothing says "im rich and love shoving it your face" like a set of $20,000 diamond studded spinners

I know, I know, he's asking about spinners. But I love the revin' fans, and want to see it. So...

Go to a musical instrument store. Pick up a cheep/used volume control pedal for a guitar or bass. Replace the volume pot with a Blizzard rehostat. Loop the in and out to the case and a vantec tornado fan on the heat sink. ( These things sound like a small engine! ). You can do the same thing with a cheep distortion pedal for a "brake light" by gutting it and replacing the locking on/of switch with a momentary switch and run thoes wires to a red cathode. I suppose it's posible to do this with the driving pedals of a game wheel, but I'm not sure as I've never taken one of thoes appart.

Sorry I couldn't help on the spinners.
