No brainer. GeForce 6600GT OC BFG. A lot better performance right out of the box and great company to deal with.

Those are the same cards. Both support HDTV out even though Newegg does not say that.

Newegg is just cheaper than Monarch in this case.
 
Strange ? I ordered mine direct from EVGA and they were clocked 500/1000
 
the Evga one is model 128-A8-N350-TX and one is model 128-A8-N350( newegg)..and they probly are the same cards for performance..and just that newegg has better prices...and thats why there is a price difforence...i would say get the OC......

but what i reeally recommend is getting a 6800NU for a little bit more..and your get a card that can wipe the 6600 clean after a little overclocking..

You can trade it in on a faster card in a few months when you have another $150 to spend and get a 6800GT, thus ensuring far greater performance in the long run.

I don't think anyone told him to get the 6600GT except the second poster and he didn't know about the 6800nu. Chill bro, and read the posts before you flame.

BTW: it was a dollar, not 30$. Just some food for thought....or not.

for a newbie, the BFG is great because it is OCed and covered under warranty. I say get the 6800nu OC for $250
 
Im not overclocking anything just keeping it as is so if I get the 6800NU will it still be better then the 6600GT OC?

I called outpost and they were out of stock. I just called the Frye's in Duluth, GA and they said they have it for $299. $50 bucks more.

2nd day means you get 2-day shipping. you still have to add on the 1-2 days it takes zipzoomfly to process and package your order. still pretty quick though.

those are both the same card. one just has a different heak sink and fan on it. the newer ones have the dual fan, solid copper heatsink. My guess is that you'll get the newer version either company you order from. this is a good thing cause the newer heatsink is really nice.

If i read your final question right, then i'll set you straight on what 6800NU means. It simply means 6800 "Non-Ultra". thus a 6800U means 6800 Ultra. those two links you put there are 6800NU's cause they aren't Ultras or GTs. And yes, an OC will perform better because the core is running 25 mghz higher than stock, but it's going to be a near unoticable difference in games.

They look different because they are different versions of the card, one is DDR1 and the other is GDDR3. the GDDR3 card has better OCing potential because it has much better ram on it. Potential means nothing though, the core you get with the GDDR 3 card could very well suck nuts and not get you anywhere in OCing.

Didn't you say you weren't going to OC though? I forget.

I'd suggest if you aren't OCing going for the DDR1 card if you want farcry but if you're OCing go for the GDDR3 and hope you get a core that can scream.

Yes a 6800nu OC is a good card.

The card in the 2nd link says, BFG nVIDIA GeForce 6800 128MB GDDR3 TV-Out/DVI 8X AGP. As far as I have seen the 6800 doesn't come with GDDR3 ram. I hate when sites can't get their desciptions right, doesn't give me confidence in ordering with them.
 
So if I go with the product in the 1st link with the 2 fans, Will I be able to use it in my Abit BH7 Motherboard?

There are too 6800's with GDDR3, it's nothing new.

On ZipZoomFly.com I found the videocard I want. It says AGP 8x but then on the images it has the box photo and it says AGP 4x/8x

Check it out.. It can support 4x right?

Most likely not, I'd say they definately aren't unlocked but I don't want to be dogmatic. I'm 99% sure they didn't though, I think it just means they are OCed out of the box because there are also 6800gt OC's as well ;).
