I have an older HP net book DMZ1 e-350 apu w 6310 radeon graphics. 8gb ram and 840 evo 250 gb. I cannot get the hdd online analysis to work . When I click on it nothing happens I think something is screwed up in chrome or ie. Maybe something to do with ssl. Any help please... thank you Windows 7 by the way

No idea what that test is, never heard of it before, but if you need to do a diagnostic on your hard drive you should use the diagnostic tool from the manufacturer of the hard drive itself (not HP). If you're not sure which brand of hard drive you have in the laptop (or SSD) you can use CrystalDiskInfo to provide that info and you find that utility here:

https://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html

I would recommend getting the Standard Edition (Portable) which extracts and doesn't require installation, you run it from the folder you extract it to and go from there. That tool will also provide you with the current S.M.A.R.T. info on the drive under test but again if you want to run a proper diagnostic on the drive I highly recommend using only the tool from the manufacturer of the drive and you can find those tools at the website(s) of the respective manufacturer(s).

Not concerned about the drives health I have a crapload of diagnostics including all the crystal disk stuff. What I want to know is why all my other machines have no problem accessing the online diagnostic in speedfan. By the way google Speedfan been around a few years.....
