speedfan for intel c2d cooler?

anyone using speedfan to control their intel heatsink fan? i'm having trouble getting speedfan to control the fan speeds, but on my old pentium d setup i had no trouble getting it to work. is there something wrong with my bios settings? on my ds3 i believe i have all the fan control stuff set on disabled.

The gigabyte easytune can control fan speeds, although it is a very crappy and irritating program and that is just about the only usefull thing it can do. Just be sure you have the fan speed settings set to "auto" in bios.

I'm having similar issues with my BX2. Whenever I adjust the fans in SpeedFan, they revert to 100% about 3 seconds later. No idea on how to change that.
