Specs for help!

Hi Guys,

I’m trying to buy a new computer and trying to build my own. I want you guys to tell me what kind of computer is good for just buying. And the other one tell me the specs that I just get to build my own computer. I want the computer to be good for: gaming, surfing the web, downloading, chatting, homework, and etc. I want the computer that I buy its really good. I want the computer to be a least 2,000 to 4,000ish bucks. So can you guys tell me what kind of computer I should get for this buying and tell me the company and specs. And for the one I’m about to build tell me the specs and where I can buy it. And tell me the difference between each motherboard, memory, ram, speakers, graphics card and etc. And can you give me some guides on how to build a computer like watercooling and etc. Please tell me the difference different all of them. I want this computer that I build and buy to be good for: gaming, surfing the web, downloading, chatting, homework, and etc.

You're asking alot in the first go.

If you feel confident building your own system go for it, for $2000-4000 you can get one hell of a system.

Instead of just asking us to spoon feed you, if you're gonna build this, you need to do some research first. Go to the front page of this site and read some reviews then come back with questions.

Those are just my personal picks for a good system...

Asus produces high quality, stable motherboards...
Intel 3.2C is one of the faster processors out there
Corsair -- everyone knows, fast quality memory.
ATi -- again, no need to explain. Great card.
Western Digital - Raptors, fast SATA drives
Antec -- Great cases with pretty good PSUs (I'd recommend a stronger PSU though.)
Viewsonic -- Personal pick for LCDS, they're top quality
Klipsch -- great loud crisp speakers
Logitech -- best wireless stuff out there, to me anyways..

Maybe the building enthusiast thing isn't for you. With that kind of money to spend, you can afford to look at a nice Falcon Northwest or Voodo Labs desktop PC. Imho they are a waste, but if you want bling and automotive paint they are very uber.

If you want to build the sys here are my recommendations:

2 gigs good pc3500 or 3700

4 74gig WD sata raptors in RAID 0/1
